Treino

Live 1:1 personal training

Someone is expecting you at 7am on Tuesday.

Train live with a professional coach in Brazil. Treino handles the language difference in real time, so you get a real coach who knows you, watches you train, and expects you to show up again.

From $36/week for 2x 30 min sessions.

  • Live 1:1
  • The same coach every week
  • Same time, wherever you are
  • No app to install
  • Cancel any week

Why Brazil?

Brazil takes training seriously.

Brazil has a deep training culture - jiu-jitsu is just its most famous export. Personal training is a profession there, with formal training and federal registration requirements.

Treino finds Brazilian coaches we’d want to train with ourselves, and handles the language so you can work with them live.

The economics are different too - $36 an hour makes real 1:1 coaching something you can build into your week, not an occasional luxury.

Why we built Treino →

A personal trainer, not another fitness app.

You don’t need an endless library of workouts. You need someone who knows you’re supposed to be training Tuesday at 7.

What a session actually feels like.

A real session, unstaged. This one happened away from home.
  1. Join

Open the link on your phone - at home, at the gym, or wherever you happen to be. Your coach is there live.

The session room on a phone: the coach greets you - Let’s go! - and the first set’s count is ready.
  2. Train

Your coach watches, adjusts, encourages, and keeps you moving.

  3. Come back

Every session leaves a record, and the next one picks up where the last left off.

Meet the coaches behind Treino.

You’re matched with a real coach who can train at the times you choose - and once you’re matched, your coach gets to know your goals and training and picks up where you left off.

How we choose coaches

  • CREF-registered
  • Referred by someone we already work with
  • Auditioned live before they take a client

You don’t need to speak Portuguese.

You speak naturally. Your coach does too. Treino translates the conversation in real time.

A real correction from a session: the coach adjusts the client’s elbow through the screen, translated as he speaks.

The client’s phone beside the gym camera: the count finishes one leg, the cues to breathe and switch arrive in English, and the next leg starts counting.

What it costs.

Same coach, same hourly rate, same standing times every week.

Questions

Does my coach speak English?

Usually not, and it does not get in the way. Your coach coaches in Portuguese, you speak English, and Treino carries both directions live. The parts that cannot wait for translation - the count, the corrections fired mid-rep - do not go through it at all.

How does the translation actually work?

Three different ways, on purpose. The count runs on both phones at once, each in its own language, so it never waits for anything. Around forty of your coach’s most-used cues are translated in advance and land the moment he taps them. Everything else - the conversation around the work - rides live translation, which takes a second or two, where a second or two never mattered.

Will I have the same coach every week?

Yes. Your coach is set when you lock your standing times and stays your coach - changing your hours later does not reassign you.

What equipment do I need?

None required. Your coach builds sessions from whatever each of your places actually has, which is why we ask at the start.

Can I train at a gym?

Yes - at home, at a gym, or both. Tell your coach which places you use and what is in them, and sessions get built for wherever you are that day.

What if I travel?

Your coach travels with you. Hotel-room sessions are a specialty, not a fallback.

What if I miss a session?

It banks as a make-up, good for 30 days, and a make-up is never billed again. You are not charged extra for missing.

How are coaches chosen?

CREF-registered - Brazil’s federal registry for the profession - referred by someone we already work with, and auditioned before they take a client.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Sessions run in your phone’s browser - you open a link and you are in.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, effective at the end of the week. You pay only through your last week.

Do I need Portuguese?

No. And if you have some, even better - you can choose to hear your coach’s own voice alongside the translation, or instead of it.

Is this right for me if I am starting over?

Yes. You tell us where you are before you meet, your coach reads it in Portuguese beforehand, and your first session is spent building the programme around you.

How does scheduling work?

You pick standing times and keep them every week, shown in your own clock. Sessions can be booked, moved or cancelled from your account.

How does billing work?

When you save your weekly spot, you add a card, but nothing is charged then. At the start of each month, you’re billed for the weeks you already trained, itemised.

What about injuries?

You flag them at the start and your coach reads them before you meet, so the first session already works around them. Treino is coaching, not medical care.

What hours are available?

You’ll see the standing times currently available with a Treino coach, shown in your own time zone.

You already know you should train.
